Keystone PanelEdge LED fixtures provide an architectural grade, energy-saving solution for replacing outdated fluorescent fixtures.  Powered by a dedicated Keystone driver and built with superior quality LEDs, PanelEdge produces edge-to-edge, evenly diffused lighting that is remarkably consistent from fixture to fixture. If emergency lighting is required, Keystone’s SmartSafe LED Emergency Back-Up can be used with PanelEdge fixtures.  PanelEdge fits seamlessly within standard T-grid ceilings. Alternatively, the optional suspended mounting system can be utilized for maximum flexibility in fixture placement.

Why Keystone Panel Edge?

There are essentially 6 components inside of the LED panel:

1. Diffuser (first lense that you see)
2. Light Guide Plate (acrylic glass piece with dots on it)
3. White Reflector (to help distribute the light)
4. Foam Backing (to ensure the components are properly aligned)
5. The LED's (side Lit aka Edge Lit)
6. The Keystone Driver (Other LED Panel manufacturer's have to outsource for a driver)

The Light Guide Plate is the most important component because it evenly distributes as much light as possible while blocking out the intense LED beams. This results in very smooth light with little to no glare or hot spots. Our flat panel uses the highest end Light Guide Plate, which is a high quality acrylic glass. This is extremely important because other manufacturers may use a lower quality material, which will A) Result in yellowing B) Not spread the light out properly and C) Many use a recycled acrylic material.

Because of Keystone's LED Driver manufacturing experience, we are able to under drive the LED chip sets significantly. So by under driving the LED's we can maximize energy efficiency and lifetime. Bottom line is Keystone has one of the best designed LED flat panels on the market!
