• HPS TruWave™ active harmonic filter (AHF) (Powered by Mesta Electronics) is a comprehensive and flexible solution for harmonic mitigation. It provides the advanced control and proven reliability that your facility needs to solve power quality issues.
  
  
• It monitors the load current and very quickly responds to the power system distortion as it develops. A corrective current is injected to effectively cancel out the harmonics required from the upstream power source. The result is a harmonic load on the power system that is acceptable, with more balanced current and voltage waveforms.

• HPS Centurion™ P passive harmonic filter is specifically engineered to mitigate harmonic currents created by non-linear loads. It is currently available from 5 to 500 horsepower and it improves power quality by simultaneously reducing harmonics and improving true power factor. The advanced HPS design delivers superior performance compared to a traditional harmonic filter by reducing harmonic current distortion to less than 5%, corrects true power factor to over 95%, and meets IEEE 519 harmonic requirements.

• The HPS RC series DV/DT filters are specifically designed for drive/motor applications with long lead lengths (usually where the motor cable length is 20 feet and greater).  They should always be installed next to the IGBT variable frequency drive.  Typical installation applications include production process lines, conveyor systems and deep wells.

• The new HPS Centurion™ R reactor provides a unique blend of improved performance and reliability while reducing the product footprint.  HPS Centurion™ R reactors deliver protection for your motors and drives.  They are available in standard ratings from 0.5 HP (373 Watts) to 1000 HP (745 kilowatts), up to 600 V (690 V with de-rating) and are fully compliant with UL, CSA, CE, IEC, and NEMA standards.

Renewable Energy

The renewable energy generation market has grown remarkably in the past decade, and it is an expanding part of HPS’s product development focus.  The renewable energy market involves solar and wind power as well as geothermal generation. HPS is a major supplier of key components to the electrical infrastructure involved in the alternative energy market.  One of the challenges in creating the necessary electrical infrastructure for these, often remote, generation locations is to ensure that the equipment is rugged enough to withstand the temperature and moisture extremes as well as the damaging effects of lightning.  Our design team is committed to advancing the performance of our transformers to meet the ever increasing demands for efficiency and durability.  HPS is now delivering these quality products to OEMs and Energy operators on a worldwide basis.
